Re: chapter numbering issues



Hi Mandy,

Move the chapter with the problem into a new position earlier in the book 
and regenerate. If it still has a number problem, you'll know the problem 
is here.

But often the problem is that a paragraph in the previous chapter is 
resetting the autonumber sequence, then passing that sequence to the 
chapter that *shows* the problem. If so, the old bad chapter will do just 
fine in its new position, and a different chapter (the one in its old 
position) will be affected instead.

In either case, when you identify the problem file, look for a paragraph 
that resets the chapter numbering sequence without displaying the number.
