Future of FrameMaker: FOP?

Do we all know about the Apache FOP?

It's an open-source project whose aim is

XML + XSL = PDF

Years ago, I designed books with a typewriter - writing detailed specs
for the compositors. The books often came out the way I expected. Seems
like we might be going back to those days. See

Now this, once it's working, could become a killer component for
InDesign.
