Dov and PDF-meisters, Perhaps they are missing the fact that when they print from the Acrobat file, Acrobat then uses the printer driver and PPD for the output printer chosen through Printer Setup at THAT time. It seems like folks are trying to use the PS file to send both to the printer and to Acrobat. >>>>SNIP>>>>> Pray, please educate ME as to why you can't or don't want to setup (or have your customers setup) a printer instance (Mac or Windows) that uses the Distiller PPD appropriate to the Acrobat version that you have? Is it the thrill of PPD hacking that you all enjoy (if that is the case, you really need to "get a life")? It really is hard to imagine real, legitimate business and workflow reasons for this craziness? Or maybe everyone is trying to drive me nutso!
