Are the graphics imported or copied? If the file is really large, ie, copied graphics, I have seen this problem in all versions of Frame since 3. Frame gets really unhappy with lots of copied graphics. File bloat. If the graphics are copied, then maybe you should think about importing by reference. Tedious but stabler file...
