Hi Framers, I tried the SGMLFragment approach (as Lynne suggested) and it works fine. (My special thanks to Lynne). However there is a big problem and that is the way of treating the (SGML) text insets by my FrameMaker 5.5.6 on Win98. As you all know working with SGMLFragment means dropping of the header of Doctype declaration including any external/file entity declaration, processing instruction and ..... This means that I am not able at all to work with nested text inset at different levels. In other words I am not able to use a SGML fragment or text inset SECTION (say section 4) which in turn contains two other SECTION text insets (say 4.1 and 4.2). The question is: is there any way to work with nested text insets in FM+SGML? Is there any FDK API function/routine to read a SGML fragment or text inset (if necessary with corresponding Doctype declaration), interpret the SGML structure and include the subsequent text inset(s) and finally drop the the header just before the whole part is being copied as referenced in the main document? Many thanks to Lynne A. Price, Dan Emory and other Framers for their response to my question. N.
