Hi, "Front Runner" is right, but only for TEXT FRAMES. I don't think that Text Frames meet the need/intent of Bernard, and certainly are not what I need. I have beaten this drum to death. In FrameMaker there is NO true way to do what Word or WordPerfect can do so easily. There really, really, really needs to be the ability to switch from one column style to another, based on the tagging of the content. These column "sections" (per Word) need to be able to be anchored and flow along with other book content, to flow over page breaks, to fill & balance, etc. Before somebody says "use tables", remember that a table can flow IN a columnar structure, but the content IN a table cannot do a serpentine flow IN a table. This issue has come up a number of times in the Frame groups over the last 18 months and there has (eventually) been complete agreement that Frame cannot do it. -- Jay Smith e-mail: jay@jaysmith.com Jay Smith & Associates P.O.
