Mixed FM/non-FM doc repository

We are about to start here a project to create a repository
of internal company documentation for both engineering and marketing.

There are many issues, of course, not the least of which is the
multiple authoring/viewing approaches (FrameMaker/Acrobat Reader, 
MS Word/MSWord or Acrobat Reader,  HTML/Web Browsers).

I'm wondering if there are folks out there who have tackled this
sort of thing already and have a high-level set of suggestions and
caveats to pass along before we embark on this enterprise.
