I have no idea, this has been asked again and again.
I leave NO white space after sig.
It is some combination of Novell GroupWise 5.2.4.9
and the Frameusers Digest.
(It doesn't appear to happen with the other digest,
(Framers@Omsys.com just the Frame Users Digest.)
P.S. I do NOT recall it happening before we upgraded to Novell's
GroupWise 5.x.
When we were on the 4.x version, it may have happened, but I didn't
notice it.

John,
Is there any reason why you have so much white space following your
signature? It may be the Framers digest, but your posts always have
about 20
or so blank lines after your signature.
It's not a major nuisance - I'm just puzzled.
