Steve, This particular problem I am not aware of. The 2015 "fix" is irrelevant here because the Distiller PPD (for Acrobat 3) is for 2017! You should NEVER use the "Always use TrueType" fonts because legitimate Type 1 fonts that may be on your system will be replaced with some TrueType font that may not necessarily match what you are using in your source document. You should let Distiller use Type 1 fonts when you have those on your system and TrueType fonts when you have those (using Type 42 with printers and Acrobat 4 and "outlines" with Acrobat 3 when using AdobePS 4.3). To persue this line a bit further, can you determine which font was being used when the characters were dropped?!? Try to find out and I will try to assist. - Dov At 5/24/99 08:38 AM , smurphy@softworkscc.com wrote: >Receipt-Requested-To:smurphy@softworkscc.com >MIME-version: 1.0 >Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 >Content-transfer-encoding: quoted-printable >X-Mailer: TFS Gateway /222000000/223041237/223003969/223100773/ >Message-Id: <E10m3EG-0007WD-00@relay3.smtp.psi.net> > >I know we're all sick of this, so will be especially grateful >for help from anyone.
