Hi, There has been some discussion today of this subject -- it comes up every couple of weeks. I wish we (s/b Dov) could just develop an FAQ on it and simply post the FAQ every 5 days. It is my understand from "Dov the PS guru" at Adobe that Save as PDF and Print to PS and Distill to PDF is very definately NOT the same thing. Furthermore, most problems related to Printing to PDF relate to people trying to print to the print driver of their normal physical printer rather than to the Distiller "driver" (not really a driver, but a pipe to the Distiller program). I can imagine that Dov is tired of fighting this battle. I am NOT saying this to complain about "new users" -- Frame's interface is really is misleading in this regard. It is very normal and understandable that "new users" would not know or easily see the proper way to Print to PS and then Distill, without an in depth read of the manual -- and I am not even sure it is there. -- Jay Smith e-mail: jay@jaysmith.com Jay Smith & Associates P.O.
