Hello Christa and all others: I am new to this group. I find all your questions and answers very interesting and extremely helpful. In reply to your question, Christa, about the suitability of ISO Draw for Telecommunications, IMHO, it is too sophisticated a tool for network topology and related diagrams. If you are producing manuals for hardware, where you may need detailed exploded views to support maintenance tasks, then you might need this sort of tool. Otherwise, you are probably better served by Corel Draw or Visio. Apparently, ISO Draw has a good CGM file import and export capability which makes it useful for using graphics from high end CAD systems such as Unigraphics et al. It really depends on what sort of illustrations you need to provide. Even here though, we have an illustrator who is experienced with Corel Draw and the CGM files we export from Unigraphics transfer very cleanly to Corel Draw. I hope this helps. We are in the telecommunications industry (integrated data and voice networking systems) and I'm also wondering if IsoDraw is overkill for our purposes - anyone got any thoughts on this? ** To unsubscribe, send a message to majordomo@omsys.com ** ** with "unsubscribe framers" (no quotes) in the body. **
