Has anyone prepared conditional text documents in which some files are in one version of a book but not in another version? For example, we have developed a manual for software that runs under UNIX and Windows NT (and other platforms too). The UNIX version has three appendices; the NT version has only one. And that's just one example... I'm trying to decide on the best approach to this, e.g.: 1) Modify the book file every time by deleting the file from the book and re-generating 2) Create multiple book files that reference the same FM files. 3) Leave the appendices and chapters that are to be omitted in the book but make the entire file contents conditional so they don't print... etc. Rather than experiment around, I thought I'd check to see if there was some experience out there. I could also title chapters or appendices something like "Macros (UNIX Only)" as in Chapter 21 of the FM User Guide, but would like to have alll the options.
