With four weeks to go until the next major contract starts, I'm just hanging out my shingle on the off chance that someone has a short (or even medium) term need for some help that demands serious Frame expertise. This framer has six years of experience with the product, including a lot of work as a tools support person and troubleshooter for a group of writers in a large multinational. Most of the last five years have been spent designing, writing and developing documents in the telecommunications sector. A registered professional engineer for 18 years (electrical), I've been doing side orders of professional calligraphy for 20 years, which was what initially drew me to DTP and electronic typesetting. I have a very strong science and technology background and a serious passion for language, typography, and all things related to the written word. I have serious workstations (one G3/300 Desktop Mac, and a G3/250 PowerBook, two 20 inch monitors, tabloid laser, CD burner, etc.) and a stable of software tools in addition to Frame. If you have something short term (or possibly longer) and have no difficulty with it being done remotely, then we should talk. Anyone who is seriously interested should reply to me by e-mail and we can make an appointment to discuss things further by phone. I'm leaving town in a few minutes and will be gone for the rest of today (Friday), but will reply to any message(s) as soon as I'm back. W.E.
