Subject: Generating PS for Docutech 135 from Frame

Hey all: I am having some problems with my print service provider. Setup at my end: FM 5.5.6 on Win 95, 128 mb ram, Adobe 4.2.4 driver/Docutech135 ppd. Docs are highly graphical operating manuals: b/w, all TrueType fonts (I'm working on that with "les grandes fromages" at my office). Hmmm. I have set the TT fonts to download as outlines. When I distill the file to PDF to have a look, it's ugly: missing characters too. When I generate a PS file using the Adobe driver set up with the Acrobat PPD, I send the TT fonts as Type 42, the resulting PS file is bigger (which somehow reassures me) and certainly looks a heckuva lot better when distilled to PDF. Anyone got any explicit experience with generating PostScript for sending to a Docutech? I know I must be missing something here! Thanks for any help/commiseration/hacks anyone can send my way....
