I added a section for FM7.2 in the List of FM Bugs/Issues [ http://www.microtype.com/FM_bugs.html ] and also updated the FAQ with items related to FM7.2+XML [ http://www.microtype.com/FrameMakerFAQ.html ] If you use the shipping version of FM7.2 and can report FM7.2-specific bug fixes or bugs/issues, your feedback is welcome and can benefit other users. One item that may be of interest to PDF producers: prior to FM 7.1, importing formats with document properties turned on reset the File Info values (File > File Info) as well, so that any file-specific information (such as document title), was overwritten with the imported value. This was finally fixed in FM7.1, but the fix has been removed from FM7.2, so that we are back to square one on this issue. The linked Adobe tech note suggests that the FM7.1 behavior was incorrect and that it was fixed in FM7.2, but my opinion is that document metadata (Title, Subject, Keywords) is document-specific and should under no circumstances be reset when importing formats from another document. Otherwise, it is too easy for authors to rewrite these fields (typed manually), and you end up with PDFs that have generic titles (which are worse than not having any title, as demonstrated in http://www.microtype.com/Hmmms.html ) Incidentally, some of the PDFs of press releases related to FM7.2 were shown in web search results with the title of "[Click and type Your Name]" Shlomo Perets Training AT MicroType com MicroType * http://www.microtype.com FrameMaker training & consulting * FrameMaker-to-Acrobat TimeSavers FrameMaker-to-PDF Assistants: Form, Navigation, Presentation, Defaults, Multimedia ** To unsubscribe, send a message to majordomo@xxxxxxxxx ** ** with "unsubscribe framers" (no quotes) in the body. **
