Thread-topic: search in book: 7.1 bug is worse than 7.0
Thanks, I think this is what I was looking for, but it does seem complicated. If I understand properly: 1. create a book, importing all the insets 2. open all the files in the book 3. set to show all conditions while you're at it 4. do your spell-checking here - but not cross-references! 5. create other books, importing chapters (with the text isets), front and back material 6. import the conditions, formats, variables for the book in question to all the chapters 7. Generate the TOC, IX, etc 8. etc. So, as I am working through a book and see that I need a new inset, I create the inset file, import it into my chapter and remember to add it to the book. At least in the check-up book I don't have to worry about order. Is that right? Does anyone have an easier way to open all the text insets? The way I solve this problem is to have two books. One |contains all the "authored" files (including text insets and |the files they are imported to), but excludes the |autogenerated ones like the TOC and IX; I do my editing in |this book. The other is the book that actually gets published, |and includes all the autogenerated files and the "skeleton" |files that include the insets. | |Regards | |Ian Saunders |Vodafone Ltd. and |-----Original Message----- |From: Simon Bate [mailto:simon.bate@xxxxxxxxxxx] |Sent: Wednesday, February 23, 2005 4:43 PM |To: Lester C. That makes maintaining them much easier. If |you're on Windows, you can drag and drop files from Windows |Explorer (or the Search results list) directly into a |FrameMaker book file. | |Simon | |-----Original Message----- |From: owner-framers@xxxxxxxxx [mailto:owner-framers@xxxxxxxxx] |On Behalf Of Lester C.
