Ron, If I was a betting person, I'd bet that a different printer is selected as the current or default printer starting at the time you received the alert, if you are running under Windows and that the identified font is installed on your computer, but is also indicated as a resident font in the PPD for the printer. If that is the case, you want to follow my advice in terms of eliminating font references in the PPD. See <http://www.adobeforums.com/cgi-bin/webx?50@97.vfA2aIedOBi.588249@.ef4dc6a> and read the entire posting including the "furthermore" section! If you are on the Mac, it is possible that you have multiple versions of the same named font on your system. For example, Apple's TrueType Helvetica versus the Adobe Type 1 Helvetica. Delete the TrueType duplicates of the Type 1 fonts in that case. - Dov At 5/2/2003 10:03 AM, Ron Teplitz wrote: >When I open some Frame docs, starting yesterday, Frame displays the alert about >font metrics: >"Document named <name> is formatted with different font metrics (for example, >different character widths or kerning).
