It sounds like you're importing graphics by copy, not by reference. If you import by reference, you only end up with a link to the image in the FM file, not the entire image file. This makes your FM files smaller and the updates of graphics easier. Anyway, the following are possible reasons: 1. You think you have imported the BMP graphics by reference, but in fact they're imported by copy, and they are still there in the file. Not very probable, I guess, but you never know :-) 2. You haven't deleted the BMP graphics before you imported the PNGs on top of them. The BMPs are still there, hiding under the PNGs. 3. There are other graphics still in the file, apart from the ones you have correctly replaced. They may be hiding on Master or Reference pages, or in anchored frames but outside the visible portion of the frame. 4. You have the Preference "Save FrameImage with Imported Graphics" turned on. I think I've listed them in inverse probability order :-) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Thomas Michanek, FrameMaker/UNIX/MIF expert Technical Communicator, Uppsala, Sweden mailto:Thomas.Michanek@telia.com http://go.to/framers/ - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ** To unsubscribe, send a message to majordomo@omsys.com ** ** with "unsubscribe framers" (no quotes) in the body. **
