Reminder: Tomorrow, Israeli FM user group meeting (FM Doc Management,MIF)

Meeting of the Israeli FrameMaker user group takes place as scheduled, 
tomorrow -- Monday, March 24, 6pm, in Yehud (hosted by Mercury Interactive).


Topics include:

* FrameMaker Document Management using Microsoft Project: the Demantra Case 
Study -- Moshe Forman, Demantra
Demantra products require over 50 publications with each release, including 
multiple variations for different configurations, different types of users 
and different sales channels. FrameMaker provides excellent solutions, with 
variables and conditional text used extensively. However, keeping track of 
all possible variations and configurations proved a nightmare, and some 
kind of management system was called for. Microsoft Project proved an 
effective solution for managing content, resources and schedules.

* MIF (Maker Interchange Format) -- Shlomo Perets, MicroType
When can users benefit from an "under the hood" view of the FrameMaker 
file? MIF enables you to see and edit everything that a file contains in a 
text format -- including tags, markers, conditions, variables. If you know 
how, you can often use the MIF file to solve problems or as a workaround 
for some FrameMaker limitations.
