Hi David,

I have the same problem with FM 6 dialog boxes since I 'updated' to 
Windows XP (ServPack1). The content of a drop down does not fully show 
until you

 - close and re-open it
 - or  select the first entry and use the arrow keys tio move the 
selection

It's sort of weird but I couldn't think of any clue. However, you're using 
FM 7 and I'm using FM 6 so the problem might rather be related to Windows 
XP than to FrameMaker. 
I know this does not really provide any help but I thought it noteworthy 
....
