Gerd has a point -- someone has a problem and not one has come up with a
solution.

This happens infrequently to me both within and without FrameMaker. The
most recent occurrence was yesterday, when I could not type the correct
file extension when saving a graphics file in The Gimp. In my case, the
letter that appeared was displaced from the letter I pressed; thus pressing
'm' typed ';', and so on.

It appears to be a fault in the keyboard driver. If you shut everything
down and reboot the problem clears itself -- or at least it does in Windows
2000.

Hedley
