Subject: Page Layout Question

I am preparing a lab exercise book and running into a small problem for which I need some advice. The page is landscape with text on the left and an image or two (the procedure is illustrated in the GUI and command line) on the right side of the page. I plan to bind the book (t'will be a lengthy book) at the top of the page and make it duplex. So far I have used two columns or a sidehead arrangement with right and left pages but the difficulty is that when printed duplex I cannot turn the page and see the material without turning the book around. This is an awkward arrangement for a student. How then, do I set the page layout so that I get a landscape page with two columns (or a sidehead) with the binding at the top of the page that is mirrored on each page. When a page is turned the text remains on the left with the images on the right and the binding is at the top of the page. Thanks in advance for the help.
