Thread-Topic: [HATT] Help As Part Of The Programming Language?
To Mike and the others, Regarding being over your head in the discussions about OmniHelp, you couldn't be further from the truth at this point in time. As authors and readers of online help, you are the best qualified to suggest what you would like to see. It's a simple as: - is a TOC necessary? (of course) - do you want expandable/collapsable TOC entries? - how many levels do you want in the index? (unlimited) - how should other lists be supported? - is the tri-pane sufficient? - what buttons are needed for the reader to navigate? - is FTS necessary? - how important is on-the-fly configuration of material (so you can write one manual and produce beginner/intermediate/advanced versions)? - What are your pet-peeves with WinHelp, HH, etc.? - What do you want improved? - What do readers need? > -----Original Message----- > From: mmccallister@krollontrack.com > Since I haven't read the spec fully yet, please feel free to > refer me to RTFM after you read these questions. 8-) <snip> > I have also registered at SourceForge, though I have a feeling > I'll be in over my head in these discussions. ** To unsubscribe, send a message to majordomo@omsys.com ** ** with "unsubscribe framers" (no quotes) in the body. **
