RE: graphic rotation problem

Caryn,

For better or for worse, yes it does matter what font is being used, if in
fact you are creating an arrow with text. You really didn't make that clear
in your postings. Arrows can be "drawn" in FrameMaker or created via
keying in characters from various symbol or dingbat fonts. In order to
allow the members of the list to assist, we pretty much need to know how
you created the arrows.

A "generic PostScript printer" is not a valid driver/PPD combination
for purposes of generation of PostScript for creation of PDF files via
the Distiller. Assuming that you don't have the full copy of Acrobat
installed, but only the Distiller 4.05 that comes with FrameMaker 6,
you need to create a PostScript printer driver instance "to file" (i.e.,
the FILE: port) using the Distiller PPD file (in the XTRAS subdirectory
of the Distiller installation). You create the PostScript printer driver
instance via the Adobe Universal Windows PostScript Driver Installer 1.0.6,
downloadable from Adobe's web site.

With regards to embedding fonts, if you are currently not aware of what
that concept is, I would most strongly encourage you to do some reading
with regards to Acrobat and PDF files. Font embedding is a very key
concept in the production of PDF files that can be reliably displayed
and printed by their recipients (i.e., not you on your own system).
