How would this account for the inconsistent PDF processing time, where the slowest is 4X the fastest? (Actually, slower times are more the norm and I was astonished when the PDF zipped through in 2-3 minutes.) This Mac's font library contains barely more than the OS defaults; I've purposely kept it simple to eliminate the the extra work of office-wide font management. I'm not even using a font manager. I've got 48 suitcases, the vast majority the OS defaults.
