Re: Why is PDFing sometimes quick and sometimes glacial?



How would this account for the inconsistent PDF processing time, where the
slowest is 4X the fastest? (Actually, slower times are more the norm and I
was astonished when the PDF zipped through in 2-3 minutes.)

This Mac's font library contains barely more than the OS defaults; I've
purposely kept it simple to eliminate the the extra work of office-wide font
management. I'm not even using a font manager. I've got 48 suitcases, the
vast majority the OS defaults.
