BTW, I think my email to you (answering your query about continuations) got eaten in a mail server crash yesterday. I've heard that Frame 7 can select a master page based on the presence of a tag on the page -- a little creative master page design might get you what you need there. Or you could use AppleScript or FrameScript to delete & insert continuations as needed. > Our present idea is to insert TOC headings as x-refs in a table. > > Is there a better way to create TOCs in a table automatically? Seems like we already went around that mulberry bush this week. :-) If you want tables (and IMAP templates use a LOT of tables), the best way is to use xrefs. It's a pain if you're constantly adding/deleting/moving maps, though. Again, a scripting-based solution might be a good way to automate it. Sounds like you need to hire a Frame/scripting expert. You shouldn't have trouble finding one these days. (I'm gainfully employed at the moment, but there are plenty of good folks who aren't.) ObFridaySilliness: troff could automate stuff like this in the Olden Days (1985).
