Win9x/AdobePS4.5.3 offset ref frames; no-break hyphen in FM7 bmks

I'm working on a technical review of PDF-related aspects in FM7, which will
take a week or two to complete, and be posted on www.microtype.com when ready.

In the meantime, Win98/ME users planning to inspect FM7.0 or to run the
Universal Windows Installer 1.0.6 (applies to FM6,Win95 as well), or those
using/planning to use FM7.0 for production purposes in other environments,
should be aware of the following two potential problems:

(1) Win95/98/ME, AdobePS 4.5.3(107), FM6 or 7: reference frames are offset

With this new driver -- installed as part of the FM7.0 installation on
Win98 or available separately for download from www.adobe.com as part of
Universal Installer 1.0.6 -- content of reference frame may be offset and
not match the position/content seen in FrameMaker 6.0 or 7.0 (I could not
test this with earlier versions of FrameMaker).

The problem is visible and consistent in the PDF output, but may also
affect PostScript output in general. (Standard "Concern.fm" sample
document demonstrates this on the first page with the blue lines
above/below the red quote).

[ Note: installing an older driver (such as AdobePS 4.5.1) instead of a
newer one requires the deletion of some driver-related files first. ]

(2) non-breaking hyphens in paragraphs are not carried over to bookmarks

Unlike previous releases, which included a corresponding character in the
bookmark text (displayed as a space in Acrobat 4, a box in Acrobat 5, and
correctly -- as a hyphen -- in Acrobat 5.0.5), FM7.0p492 does not transfer
this character at all to the bookmark text (treating it the same as the
neighboring discretionary hyphen and suppress hyphenation char).
[This means that the FixSpecialCharsInBmk function in TimeSavers cannot do
anything to fix the problem.]

While in many documents non-breaking hyphens are not used frequently, if at
all, there are cases where product names include these (either directly or
through a variable) to prevent awkward line breaks of cross-references
(which cannot be adjusted manually). Until this problem is fixed, hyphens
will need to be inserted in bookmarks in the PDFs being finalized, or
replaced with regular hyphens in FrameMaker's headings.
