Re: No PDF Port created for Distiller bundled with Frame 6?

Herv,

The FrameMaker 6-bundled version of Acrobat Distiller 4.05 does NOT
come with the "plumbing" that installs the "PDF Port" that allows
printing to the "Acrobat Distiller" printer instance AND automatic
distillation. This omission has been corrected with FrameMaker 7.
The Distiller 5.0.5 installation of FrameMaker 7 does provide all
the plumbing including the PDF port capability and automatic
creation of the Acrobat Distiller printer instance.

The alternative for you is to create your own "Acrobat Distiller"
printer instance based on the Acrobat Distiller PPD, print to "FILE:"
to a location that is a "watched folder" of Distiller. Keep the Distiller
running and looking for new files in those folders.
