RE: sorting table kills xref markers

Yes, we've encountered that bug as well. As a work-around you may create
newlink and gotolink hypertext markers. Those markers will survive table
sorting.

unresolved cross-references. Yes, indeedy, all those cross-reference
markers had disappeared, except one.  I shall delete that one out of spite,
as why should it survive when its compadres are gone?
