The question is: Do you need to manipulate your PDFs once they're created?
Acrobat 5 has some really great batch processing features that let you set up
custom batch workflows to do things like set security for groups of files prior
to burning them to a CD, for instance. If you don't touch the PDFs once they're
created, then maybe you don't need the full product. But if you want to do
things like sync your PDF page numbers to the document page numbers or make
fill-in forms (and lots of other cool things), then you'd want to buy the
Acrobat licenses. If you're still unsure, I'd invest in a basic Acrobat class to
find out if there are things you might have overlooked.

We have just placed an order for 10 copies of Acrobat 5.0.5 but still have
time to cancel.  If we upgrade to FrameMaker 7, do we get the full Acrobat
box-and-dice -- Reader, Acrobat, Distiller?  If so, we need to cancel our
order, as 20 licences for 10 people seems just a little excessive!
