Simply print to the Acrobat Distiller printer instance (Acrobat 4.x and 5.x), the Distiller Assistant printer instance (Acrobat 3.x), or to a printer driver instance (to FILE:) associated with the Acrobat Distiller PPD file. If you are asking about the infamous "save as PDF" feature, I am glad to report that YES, it will work correctly in FrameMaker 7. Members of the FrameMaker development and QE teams are working hard to assure that even I am happy with the way it works. (FrameMaker 7 will be bundled with Acrobat Distiller 5.0.5 that you can install if you don't already have Acrobat 5.0.x. That installer will indeed automatically create an Acrobat Distiller printer instance.) With FrameMaker 7, you should NEVER, repeat NEVER, need to "print to FILE" to get PostScript for distillation. It all works as it should! The team is doing a great job (and has been very good-natured about listening and responding to my incessant bellyaching about little things that needed tweaking!). - Dov ** To unsubscribe, send a message to majordomo@omsys.com ** ** with "unsubscribe framers" (no quotes) in the body. **
