Re: Graphics Missing in printout - Solution



Several respondents requested hearing how this issue was resolved.

The solution was the complete deletion and reinstallation of the HP 8550
printer on the client's system (actually, each machine using FM+SGML). 
Included was going to HP's website and downloading the most up-to-date
PPD, drivers and network tools for the device, as well as installing the
Adobe PS drivers.

This took two weeks as it had to be handled by the computer support
group who does not grant the right to install/update/delete programs or
devices to the individual users. 

However, now the client is happily able to generate complete printouts.

It was not due to, as was suggested, any problem on a "print server"
system (there is none - everyone prints directly to the 8550 via the
network), nor to disk space available for spooling purposes.  But I
thank Tom Neuburger, Eric Dunn, and Erich Nunn for their input.
