What has vanished?? The Acrobat menu in Word?? If so, check your templates -- there might be a template preventing this menu from being displayed. After weeks of trying to determine why Acrobat would not install properly on my PC, we discovered that it didn't like the American Heritage Dictionary template that loads during the AHD4 install. Once I got rid of that template, the Acrobat menu displays (although I'm still having problems creating PDF files with bookmarks for 200 page Word docs). I have custom installed PDFmaker from Acrobat 5 CD multiple times. Each time, it seems installed and the icons are in place. I run it and it's fine. After some weeks, when I need the function again, it has vanished and must be re-installed. I have a laptop with essentially the same setup, and fortunately, that one seems to stay. Any insight?
