Unfortunately, I can confirm the same bug is present in Framemaker 5.5.x and Frame+SGML 5.5.x under XP. The true inwardness of FM 556 crash in XP is *absolutelly the same* as in FM 6 - the dialog element as the horisontal long line in the head has a wrong setting as "Notify". Patches for FM/FS 6 are not applicable for FM/FS 556. This dialog bug missed in Frame 5.1 (Adobe) and 5.0 (Frame Tech.) versions. Rgrds. I know this data does not help you, Malkolm, yet any way...
