Did you try the Adobe User to User forums (http://www.adobe.com/support/forums/main.html)? They have an Illustrator board that should generate some worthwhile attention to your issue.

My graphic artist and I are struggling through some batch file issues with
the actions features in Adobe Illustrator 9.0. Are any of you aware of any
