Hi Verner, Yes, in theory Acobat allows password protecting a PDF file (Save as ... with security settings). This is not a bullet proof solution though. To protect your files more effectively you would have to disallow both editing and printing. Does the PDF then still serve its purpose? And depending on the energy somebody might set at it, those passwords could probably be cracked as well.
