At least in FM 5.x, Compare Documents is one of the more unstable functions in FrameMaker. I have received many crashes, on very complex documents or complex document differences, as well as on pretty ordinary documents that always make the function crash. You can of course try to restart FM, close all other applications, and don't have any other documents open in FM. But it's perfectly possible that FM will continue to crash on those particular files. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Thomas Michanek, FrameMaker/UNIX/MIF expert Technical Writer, IAR Systems, Uppsala, Sweden mailto:Thomas.Michanek@telia.com http://go.to/framers/ - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ** To unsubscribe, send a message to majordomo@omsys.com ** ** with "unsubscribe framers" (no quotes) in the body. **
