Enough already. Let's get back onto the topic of FrameMaker. I'd love to discuss the politics involved but this really isn't the correct forum. If anyone wants to discuss it seriously off-list then alright. The shortages have to do with a number of factors, political and commercial. And not all the political problems are the fault of politicians. All the Californians buying all the shiny new homes have been denying building permits for both new power lines and new generating stations. But add to that the fact that the industry is still regulated as per the cost they can charge consumers. Much of the power shortage has to do with the fact that the current cost of producing electricity is much higher than what the utilities in California are allowed to charge. It is the fact that the utilities are going bankrupt and can no longer pay their suppliers for electricity that there is not enough power in California. Eric L.
