Framesters: When inserting markers, you sometimes set the marker type in the Marker window to Cross-Ref or whatever accidentally. Then you put in a number of index entries not noticing that they have the wrong marker type and wonder where they all went when you generate the index. Then you have to search for Any Marker and set all the incorrect ones to Index type. Wouldn't it be great to be able to set the marker to Index and click a checkbox called "Lock marker type for entry"? That way you could enter many index entries confident that they all had the correct type. How do you set the type to the wrong kind you ask? I like to do a sweep through a chapter when indexing is completed, checking that all the markers have their correct type: Index, Hypertext, whatever. But when starting a new chapter I forget to reset the Marker window to Index.
