Hi,

You don't need Acrobat on Solaris, just Distiller, which comes with Frame. 
Do this via a makefile and fmbatch -- print to the distiller printer and 
put the PDF output in the area of the vobs where you want it.

You may have to tweak a bit for your situation, but it's not hard to do.

The only gotcha is that Catalog, the index maker for Acrobat, is not 
available on UNIX.
