Quark is equivalent to PageMaker - it's a page layout tool, and doesn't really give you the precise tagging control that FrameMaker does. It also doesn't have a auto TOC and indexing feature like Frame. Also, I believe that it's templates are not as rich. Ordering pages can be difficult, too. As far as stability: I had a lot of trouble with a 12-page newsletter (full of graphics, colors, shapes, et cetera). Part of that was the machine I used, and part was the program. Overall, Quark is not a viable alternative to Frame. Jeff Hanvey Memphis, TN www.geocities.com/jewahe "The worst is not, so long as we can say 'This is the worst.'"
