Genevieve - It depends: is the "page" you want to move part of the content flow? That is, if you add more text before it, does it shift to a new page? Or is this info "disconnected" from the flow in the document? If the answer is the that it is part of the flow, you can simply select the content and cut & paste to reorder your document. The page numbering of the specific info will change, as you are dealing with the CONTENT of a page, not the page as a container itself (but then it would not make sense to have pages 1,2,4,5,6,3, ... in a document.) Be aware, that if there are any autonumbered paragraphs, the numbering will almost certainly change. Also, there are implications for cross- references, both those in the section to be moved pointing elsewhere, but especially for references that point into this information. And if this is part of a book (or even a single document) where you are creating a Table of Contents or Index, the page numbering change will require you to update these generated files. Be very sure to update these. If this is a disconnected flow, then you have to do a bit more work: - Create a new disconnected page where you wish the info to finally be located. - Copy the content and paste it into the new location - delete the old location page (Special -> Delete Pages or ESC s p d) | From: "Pluviose, Genevieve" <GPluviose@PrismCSI.net> | Subject: Re-ordering pages | Date: Thu, 11 May 2000 11:36:34 -0400 | | Is there anyway to take one page in a frame file and put it in another | location in the file? | | Thanks, | Gen -- Lester ---------------------------------------------------------------- Lester C.
