In Windows, take a look at the maker.ini file and read its documentation by selecting Help > Online Manuals, Customizing FrameMaker Products, Chapter 2: Changing Initialization Files. You'll find the following: [Preferences] ;--------------------------- Misc preferences ShowQuickAccessBar=Off H ShowFormattingBar=Off "The ShowQuickAccessBar setting determines if the QuickAccess bar appears when you start the FrameMaker product." ... "The ShowFormattingBar setting determines if the formatting bar appears when you start the FrameMaker product." ...
