Scriptorium Publishing is please to announce the summer training lineup.
We've added Acrobat, single sourcing, and advanced classes, and we hope to
see you soon!

Mastery of powerful, versatile publishing tools can enhance your
professional image, as well as help you develop excellent documentation.
But the learning curve is steep. Scriptorium Publishing offers training by
Adobe Certified Experts and Certified WebWorks Publisher Trainers who have
real-world experience with these tools, so you get detailed information
you'll use from your first day back on the job.  Most classes are limited
to six students, so you get plenty of personal attention. Classes are
taught in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina or at your site.

Accelerated FrameMaker, May 1-2 OR June 12-13	$675
This intensive class shows you all of FrameMaker's major features. Topics
include the basics, plus conditional text, books, indexes, reference pages,
tables, cross-references, and much more.

Advanced FrameMaker, June 5-6			$675
For experienced Framers only! This class covers template design, modular
text, hypertext, cross-platform file transfer issues, conversion of source
documents into FrameMaker, and designing
master pages.

WebWorks Publisher, June 7-8			$995
Transform your FrameMaker files into HTML and help files through single
sourcing. Topics include building projects, generating output, and
customizing templates.

Advanced WebWorks Publisher, June 15-16		$1100
In our most challenging class, you learn how to interpret and write
WebWorks Publisher macros and regular expressions. Prerequisite: solid
understanding of the WebWorks Publisher interface and template
customization.

Introduction to Single Sourcing, May 5		$295
Single sourcing creates multiple deliverables (print and online) from one
set of files. This seminar assesses the costs and benefits of making the
change to single sourcing, and explains how to get started in a FrameMaker
environment.

Technical Writing 101, June 19-23 (a full week)	$1200
For new technical writers, this class provides a week-long, intensive
introduction to creating technical documentation. You'll learn about
task-orientation, indexing, technical editing, and FrameMaker basics.

Adobe Acrobat, May 9				$350
Master basic Acrobat features, such as creating a PDF file, creating
bookmarks, inserting and replacing pages, embedding URLs and movies,
touching up text, and more.

Adobe Acrobat Forms, May 25			$500
Learn how to create and edit interactive Acrobat forms. Prerequisite: basic
Adobe Acrobat (above) or equivalent.
