Glossary markers, setting a tab in

Hello Framers,

I'm trying to build a glossary using glossary markers. Ideally, my marker text 
will be:

term *tab* definition

but it seems that the usual building blocks and escape characters (such as \t) 
don't have affect in this type of marker. 

Has anyone worked out how to force a tab in glossary marker text?
