RE: collating a book new printer

Hallo:

Are you perchance trying to Collate copies of an Acrobat PDF? If not, please
ignore this ramble. Otherwise, which version, version 3? If so, I have had
the same woes on a 5000 and blame the HP driver. I recommend you try
printing using another of the drivers that comes with the 8100, for example,
my 5000 came with an HP PS2 driver, a PCL5e driver, and a PCL6 driver.
Otherwise, try printing from FrameMaker.

You might also try the printer properties settings for the collate switch.
For example, I have a high speed Xerox printer here that does not recognize
the collate settings from the print dialog box in FrameMaker but does
recognize the same default setting in its printer properties. Dunno why.

Hope this helps.
