Re: HELP!!!! Page numbers Frame->pdf->print are missiing

Deena,

There is nothing in the Distiller than can cause your page numbers
to be lost.

However, your explanation of how you create PDF is very perplexing.

First of all, Acrobat 3 is not supported under Windows XP. And
disregarding that, why if you have Distiller 5 installed would
you create PostScript for distillation by printing to what you call
the "Acrobat Distiller 3.0 Printer?" Why don't you use the Acrobat 5
"Acrobat Distiller" printer instance that is created by installing
Acrobat 5?

However, if I was a betting man (which I am not), I would guess that
in reality, you are creating PostScript by printing to a PostScript
printer driver instance that was really created with the
"Generic PostScript" PPD. That PPD defines very wide page margins.
And very likely, your page number fell into those margins which the
driver scrupulously refuses to create PostScript in.

If that is indeed what is going on, using the officially sanctioned
and approved method of creating PostScript for distillation will
remedy this symptom.
