If you're only concerned with the printed output, and not the on-screen
appearance in FM or Acrobat, then there's really no reason to resize
the picture in a separate application before importing it. In fact,
I would say the results are more unpredictable that way, and harder
to change if you need to resize the image.

Assuming you haven't resized the image before importing it, the DPI
setting used in FM for the graphic is the crucial point. This setting
relates only to the printed output, despite what many users think.
For a screenshot to appear crisp, you need to import the image at a
DPI value divisible by the resolution of your output device (printer).
For a 600 dpi printer, you should choose 50, 60, 75, 100, 120, 150 or
300 dpi (possibly 86 dpi too). Don't ever resize the graphic manually!
Instead, use the Set DPI button in the Object Properties dialog to
change the dpi to one of the values above.
