MS Office 2001 for Mac interferes with Frame shortcuts

Frame friends,
I may be the only one who cares about this, but since it took me a whole
month to figure it out, I thought I would broadcast this tidbit in case it
threatens to drive anyone else as crazy as it has driven me.

Having MS Office 2001 for Mac open (any of the 4 pieces: Word Excel,
PowerPoint or Entourage), disables the beloved command+space+type the para
format shortcut. Also disabled are Control 4 and Control+5 (for conditional
text), esc+q+C, esc+q+D.

Closing all MS Office programs re-enables the Framemaker shortcuts - without
restarting or anything.

No one knows how I could change MS Office so that I could work, and have my
email checked every 15 minutes at the same time do they?
