Re: Cross refs change from 'paragraph' to 'cross reference'



Hi Hedley,

This is not the case, at least with FrameMaker 6. When you change the
paragraph format of the source paragraph and update the cross-references,
FrameMaker still sees it as a paragraph cross-reference. It correctly lists
it in the cross-reference dialog box under its current paragraph tag.

I haven't followed this thread too closely, but I don't think
cross-references ever change from paragraph to spot. This is what APPEARS to
happen when you double-click on an UNRESOLVED paragraph cross-reference. The
cross-reference dialog box will list cross-reference markers instead of
paragraphs. Once the cross-reference is resolved (if it can be) it will
again list the source paragraph tag and paragraph when you double-click on
it.

For you FrameScript users, I am preparing a tutorial on inserting both
paragraph and spot cross-references with FrameScript. I will post an
